South Park: The Stick of Truth review

Who likes South Park. Watch a few episodes, seen some clips, look at some merchandise. Well the newest game of the show is released and it is AWESOME. short, but still awesome. It's like an epic fantasy story in a modern setting. How good is it. Here are my thoughts.
Story
One of the reasons people are loving this game is the fact the show creators oversee the production, and wrote the script, so expect a lot of dirty and nasty content that make GTA look like a kids game. the story is about "you". just arrived into South Park you're approached by Butters who takes you to the Grand Wizard who is waiting for you. From there you go on a crazy adventure filled with twist, trials, and swearing to save the town from a major crisis.
So yeah standard South Park story.
Gameplay
Now this game is and RPG so the main thing to look for is how good the combat. And the answer is Paper. While some people say it's easy(and it kinda is) it's not a pushover. If you don't pay attention to the signals, or follow the commands, your gonna die. a lot. But it's kinda a good thing as it not only makes the game more approachable to fans who are not into RPGs, it lets you play the game at your own pace. plus while your health and power is restored after battle, you are encourage to use items as you spend a lot of points in combat.
The over world is pretty small cause it's just one town. But it works as there's a good bunch of side-quest, collectibles, and cameos hidden throughout the world. It also one of the few RPGs that has a puzzle mechanic in the dungeons. In some rooms, you see items that can be interacted to help defeat enemies before combat. This makes looking at the surroundings important so you know which objects to hit.
Presentation
Soundtracks great. Sounds like a mix between Lord of the Rings and Skyrim. They also have music from the show, include one track for a boss in the most disgusting dungeon in the game which makes it the funniest boss in it(You know when you see and hear it).
the art is very detail, with small references to the show everywhere, to characters that die, to events that happened.
And now the animation. I love the animation of the special moves. If there's one reason to use them, it's to see the nice animations. Sure it's still in the style of South Park, but they just look so cool. I was a mage and I like the moves like fire, ice, and nuke.
verdict
While short. This is a fun game and if you're fan of either of South Park or RPG you might get your  money's worth. If not, rent or wait for a price drop.
8/10
